September Meeting

Balance Problems and Hearing

Mark Wegener, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Balance Rehabilitation, Mission Viejo

Did you know that falls are the leading cause of accidental death above the age 65, and 80% of people in this age group have experienced dizziness? Hearing loss, balance problems, dizziness, and vertigo are often related and can result in a significant loss of independence. Dr. Mark Wegener is a physical therapist that specializes in helping people with dizziness and balance issues. He will join us to speak on ways to prevent falls, improve our balance, identify the cause of our symptoms, and give insight into this complex “balance” system and ways to maximize our independence and safety.

Place: Norman P. Murray Community Center
